Europe’s leading airline CEOs, global aviation leaders and EU policymakers discuss the way forward for EU aviation during COVID-19
The aviation and wider travel & tourism sectors in Europe continue to face their worst crisis in modern times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With vaccination rates increasing across much of Europe, summer 2021 represents a make it or break it moment for an industry which is the backbone of Europe’s economy and connectivity. The June rollout of the EU’s Digital Green Certificate and planned re-opening of international borders means a path towards recovery is in sight -- but could remain unattainable if EU governments do not cooperate.
Meanwhile, A4E members remain committed to ambitious decarbonisation targets in line with the new EU Climate Law. But critical investment decisions will need to be taken -- despite the current crisis, along with the development of a long-term policy framework.
The 5th annual A4E Aviation Summit will take place virtually this year, but with the same lively discussions and debate. Join us to hear how European aviation is prepared to tackle the myriad of regulatory challenges ahead, and what more policymakers can do to support an industry in crisis.
